The Hague MPH 360° Pan & Tilt Powerhead is ideal for still cameras and all handheld camcorders up to 2.7kg (6lbs). The Power Head may be fastened to a tripod or to any mounting device having a standard ¼"-20 mounting screw and is ideal for use with the Hague PHS Powerhead Stand.
The unit is battery operated with a wired remote control for both pan & tilt, it also has a variable speed control. This unit can also be used with the Camranger and PT Hub combination and on masts for aerial photography.

pan and tilt head
It pans very good, but the tilt is very slow even when I set the speed to fast,, I like the long remote cable..

Useful and well-made
After a few minutes 'running in' the head moves smoothly and with no discernible noise. A single jotsticj control that handled both direction and speed of movement would make this a far more useful device for general shooting. You can't fault the build quality or value, however.

Is a few years old now and needs updating to allow greater range of tilt and speed increments to make special timelapse compositions.

I have bought a few of these. They are reliable. Not 5 star as tilt range is limited and gears are plastic and do wear out after time especially if carrying a heavy camera/lens. Cameragrip Response: Thank you for your review. With any front heavy DSLR type camera it is very important that the camera is as centrally balanced on the Powerhead as possible. Therefore, we would always recommend using the Hague BCP Balance Correction Plate to adjust the cameras centre point, so that it is not front heavy nor rear heavy, this way it'll ensure that the camera is centrally balanced on the Powerhead and the motors shouldn't be put under additional strain. Seems like a good product
The product seems like a quality product and is working as expected. I am hovewer not glad to see a big warning note inside the package telling me not to put this button to that possition, and not to put this other button to that possition. But the product is doing the job I need it to do anyway

Beautiful Birds
I invested in this head as a way of getting footage of the beautiful birds that visit my garden and it works exceptionally well. It now means I can sit in the kitchen and still change the angle/direction of the camera. I even got some shots of a squirrel yesterday.
