The Hague Mini Motion Cam Steadicam Stabilizer was the first of its kind and is the perfect steadycam for small handheld cameras. This camera stabilizer has been the best selling stabilizer of its type since it was first released and the current version is the best yet. It allows the user to create stunningly smooth footage and is ideal for video and DSLR cameras up to 1kg. The reason this stabilizer has been so popular is due to the high quality of the product at such an affordable price.

HAGUE CAMERA SUPPORTS PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Hague MMC Mini Motion Cam is the original small handheld camera stabilizer designed and manufactured by Hague Camera Supports in Nottingham, England. The new version of the MMC is our most advanced and exciting model incorporating a new streamlined design, the highly advanced H2 gimble, and it now supports cameras up to 1kg (2.2lbs) straight out the box. The original MMC set a precedent as the world’s first low cost, yet highly effective, stabilizer and the current model just takes it to the next level. This compact unit eliminates camera shake and allows the user to create those true floating shots.

The most important part of a stabilizer is its gimble as it essential that the handle is totally free moving. The MMC has always had the smoothest moving gimble of its type making it far superior and more effective than any other ball type stabilizer on the market. The new Hague H2 advanced gimble maintains the free moving capabilities of its predecessor but has now been housed in a more secure socket which prevents the risk of the handle becoming loose if misused. The gimble has a highly polished ball enclosed in a nylon socket ensuring super free movement and enhanced security.

The MMC stabilizer now supports cameras from 300g (0.7lbs) – 1kg (2.2lbs) as standard straight out the box. Cameras below 300g (0.7lbs) or above 1kg (2.2lbs) can also be balanced with the additional accessories offered and attachments to add phones or action cameras, such as the GoPro, are also available. The MMC can now support up to a maximum of 1.5kg (3.3lbs) with the MINWK Additional Weight Kit. The Mini Motion Cam is ideal for DSLR cameras, small camcorders, SLR cameras, phones, action cameras and compact cameras.

The stabilizer is a counterbalance system with the camera attached directly to the top by a standard 1/4" camera screw with adjustment for moving the camera forwards and back for balancing. At the bottom of the Mini Motion Cam there is an adjustable counterbalance platform to which the weights are attached. This original Hague design allows you to adjust the positioning of the weights to help counterbalance the camera and helps make setting up the stabilizer a much more simple process than other stabilizing systems. Once balanced it is quick and simple to level off the camera. A selection of weights are supplied for balancing the different weights of camera. Our MMC set-up guide video will quickly take you through the steps required to get you balanced and ready for filming.

The Mini Motion Cam is designed and manufactured in England and utilises the highest quality materials available to ensure it remains the best stabilizer of its type on the market. The reason it has become the most popular stabilizer of its type is quite simply because its performance is second to none and we remain passionate about ensuring this does not change. The MMC is made from lightweight aluminium with zinc plated counterbalance weights. Suitable for all makes of cameras within the weight limits specified.

Approx size: - Length 19cm. x Width 3.5cm. x Height 27cm. Weight: - 300g. plus counterbalance weights. Colour Black.

    Hague MMC

When I bought this I did expect to have issues given that my camera (Sony NEX VG-20 fitted with 18 mm pancake lens and smaller battery) put the weight very close to maximum recommended? Yes, getting the weights right and all adjustments correct takes time . . . but get used to the "top heavy" feel of your camera and the control this piece of kit gives you is awesome! Been using it a lot and it's a favourite addition to my gear!

A great, easy to set up and control stabiliser. Solid construction but still light enough to utilise easily. Movement very steady and feels good in the hand.

Camera was too heavy for it

Posted by Natasha on 15th Jun 2018

I ordered this for a dslr cannon which is just in the top heavy range but the steady cam couldn’t take it. There wasn’t enough weights either within the kit. I’m sure this would be perfect for the smaller cameras but unfortunately didn’t do the job for me. Quality is good and delivery was ok - I selected the one that said “usually next day” but it took two days so not worth spending more on shipping.

    Camera Stabilizer

This is an excellent bit of kit to add to your system at an incredible price... In the past I have used a mono pod to act as a stabilizer which worked to a point but the Hague MMC Mini Motion Camera Stabilizer is even better... I would recommend this product highly...

HAGUE MMC MINI MOTION CAM STABILIZER

Posted by Dave Smart on 8th Dec 2017

I have a couple of Ronin M's and a Nebula 5100 slant which are fine of course. This stabilzer is really well designed and very useful when I am using my lightweight Panasonic FZ 2000 and 300 cameras - i do need to use the adjustment plate that can be supplied separately with the 300 as Panasonic have offset the camera mounting screw. Yes, very impressed - you will get this balanced and when you do, it is a great tool indeed.

Hague MMC Mini Motion Cam Stabilizer

I have 2 camcorders of different size and weight and would want to use the stabilizer for both home and work and even though I have just trialled them up to now I find them very easy to set up and balance for both cams. I feel the stabilizer will be of a valuable asset in the future. Great product

Good Value, Low Cost Alternative to Steadicam Merlin That Works Well

Posted by Darren on 25th Apr 2016

I bought this product in order to film my Brother's wedding later this year. I haven't tested it out extensively yet, but have used it enough to be able to give an assessment. It is quite well made overall. The only real thing that needs to be pointed out is that the ball and socket gimble looks quite fragile and I imagine it needs to be used with some care when out in the field to prevent it from becoming damaged. Overall, though, for the money, I cannot grumble really. Setting up is fairly straightforward, and the online set up procedure video provided by Hague (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKDcMBHTg1w) is recommended rather than just relying on the enclosed printed set up information. As with the other adjustments, I found that the bottom pivoted weight bar does need to be adjusted in minute degrees and it is a little tricky. Maybe if there were minute notches in the metal where the two sections pivot with each other, the weight bar wouldn't have a tendency to slide too far when trying to adjust it. I haven't used any other stabilizer unit before, so cannot offer any comment as to how other stabilizers perform compared to this one, but this unit performs really quite well, and with a little practice, allows you to achieve far steadier footage than you could get without it. Also, a bonus for my set up, is that because my camera is relatively light, I have found that, contrary to the information from Hague, I am, to a certain degree, able to adjust the up/down tilt of the shot by gently placing my index finger on the plastic above the ball and socket gimble and applying just enough pressure to keep the camera tilted up or down, but not too firmly with my finger that it loses the effect of the stabilizer, and thus, the floating quality to the footage which I desire. Overall, I'm very impressed with this stabilizer, and would very much recommend this unit to anyone looking for a low cost but effective stabilizer.

    Pretty Cool

Glad I went for this as its really easy to use and takes the shake out of my shots. Got a GH4 balanced no problem and now getting smooth 4k footage. Also love the fact I can bang it in my backpack.
