Some camcorders do not have an accessory shoe, so you are unable to attach lights, microphones, etc.
The Shoe Bracket simply screws into the base of the camcorder and is adjustable sideways. There is also a 1/4" thread in the thumb screw so a tripod camera plate could also be attached.
