The Swit S-8D98 is a replacement battery for the Panasonic VW-VBD58 and it is compatible with Panasonic 4K Camcorder AG-DVX200 and P2HD Camcorder AJ-PX270/285. With a 7.2V nominal voltage, the Swit S-8D98 has 70Wh / 9800mAh capacity and can run approx 3 hours on AJ-PX270 series camcorders when the LCD monitor is on.
A 5.5/2.1mm built in pole-tap DC output socket is incorporated on the S-8D98 battery for DC 7.2V (Nominate) connection. You can connect an on-camera LED light, monitor or wireless transmitter to the pole-tap socket allowing you to get simultaneously power with the camera. The Max power from the pole-tap is 30W, 4A. The Pole-tap socket can also be used as charging input, by SWIT portable charger S-3010D.
You can even use the S-8D98 as a power station for your mobile phone as it comes equipt with a USB socket on the DV battery. Connect your smart phone or iPad to the USB socket, press the “Check” button, and then the S-8D98 starts to output 5V/1A power to charge your devices.
The Swit S-8D98 battery has the 4-level LED power indicators to check the remaining battery capacity and you can also get a quick view of capacity before using.
The Swit S-8D98 can be charged on the Panasonic original charger DE-A88, and SWIT also provide the Dual channel charger S-3602D for the S-8D98, it will take about 6 hours to charge from empty to 100%. You can also use SWIT S-3010D Portable Pole-tap Charger for the S-8D98 but this will take around 9.5 hours to fully charge.
